DC # 23

Street!

Next Saturday January 8, from 10am, breakfast will be celebrating # 23. On this occasion, for the first time, leave the metro area to the area east of the island. In solidarity with the Sierra Club and with full support to ecological protection of the Northwest Corridor, we are occupying the Malecón de la Pared in Luquillo.

Corridor, as you know, is a natural reserve of great ecological value for our island. Currently in danger of losing its establishment as a reserve to enable development of various real estate projects in its territory.

We want to show our solidarity with this cause. Besides the obvious reasons involving the destruction of a natural body with a rich fauna and flora whose environmental impact is apocalyptic, we understand that there is no need to continue the sprawl of tourist development and / or housing to these areas. This acts are of total unconsciousness, why build on these virgin lands, where there are built on land degradation and abandonment as the center of the towns of Luquillo and Fajardo? Why not invest in urban infrastructure to improve these also are the sea and already have a network of sites public housing, shops, etc..? For this and many more reasons to want to join us on Saturday 8th January from 10am for breakfast and support the natural preservation of the corridor and throughout his life

For more information about the broker sees here. Remember

as usual,
Your breakfast and something to share
Your glasses, plates and cutlery, NOT DISPOSABLE.

On Sunday we found the task to imagine other uses for this site. The owners were very generous in lending it to the DC # 23. The group was small this time, but we do not have a good time sharing ideas and possibilities of transformation for this space.

Thank you all.

Street!

This time we will occupy a very particular area of Rio Piedras. Borinquen is the alley between Ponce de Leon and Calle González Robles near the plaza and train station. This mythical space works as a shortcut to some and a meeting place for others. We look back on it to make our next exchange point. Because we will be doing Halloween costume exchange, brings you no longer use that others might need. The bank will also have available for barter exchange other objects. If you come dressed as you can always do, we we will. Remember to bring

as always

Can Evening Primrose Oil Cause Breakout

DC # 18

How is your neighborhood?
Before the speech on the disuse of public space in Puerto Rico, Calle Breakfast is created as an entity of action. The space is used, are our public demonstrations in him have changed and continue to be transformed. In this regard, the DC facilitates the marking of these changes being him same one.

Part of our mission is to encourage a review to look at the context in which we live. How can we identify in our neighborhood public spaces that enhance a pleasant urban experience? What type of activity that space invites us to give? With these questions in mind we want this breakfast place near the little discoveries we make to open their eyes to the space around us daily.

DC 18 Next we will be celebrating in the neighborhood of one of the team members. Sunday 27 June from 10am, we met for breakfast at the Park Ave Americo Miranda (see aerial photo).

Getting there You take the exit
express to Medical Center and take the bird. Américo Miranda in the direction of the bird. Diego. Once you pass the light of Banco Popular, the park is at your right hand against the Cialeña bakery. You can take the train and stop off at the Medical Center or the B19 bus also stops near the park.

What to wear?
Your breakfast, something to share. Remember to bring your cup and utensils, we do not want disposable devices.

The Space:
With the idea of making contact with the outside world around us, we want everyone to bring us a photo (size you wish) in a special place for you their neighborhood. We will be doing an impromptu exhibition of photos that will bring us. On the back of the photo please identify your name and the area photographed. May be more than one.

See you for breakfast. THANKS TO ALL

How To Wear A Strap Bag

Fair Trade Fair Life!

As you know, this Sunday we will celebrate Fair Trade month with family and neighbors Chiwinha of Rio Piedras. So ... ..
Street Breakfast solidarity with students of the UPR and its efforts to make their voice is respected and considered, democratic indispensable factor in management decisions that undermine their academic rights. The strike lives and inhabits the street. These days we have seen that part of the Ponce de Leon is no longer a space of transit to become a meeting place, representation, confrontation and complaint. To support students Sunday we met outside the gates of Gandara in the Ponce de Leon for breakfast. On this occasion, we ask them to bring breakfast made for yourself, preferably with local products, but if not, at least it is done at home. If cooking is not your thing, can bring fruit, beaten, water, bread, juice, and coffee. The conspirators also Chiwinha give us a brief talk on Fair Trade and its origins.

Remember the basics, your breakfast and something to share. Your chair, blanket or something to sit. Your glass, cup, cutlery, NOT DISPOSABLE!

See you there, THANKS TO ALL
