Eating slowly allows less fat and keeping body weight stable

Every family should take this into account. How many times has your mother told you to eat slowly and you have not been paying attention? It has now been confirmed-eating slowly ends up consuming fewer calories and more enjoying the food bowl.

A study by Dr. Kathleen Melanson, the University of Rhode Island in Kingston , showed that women who enjoy food more, the better digested more slowly and chew are able to consume fewer calories and be less hungry if they did so chaotic and fast.

During the investigation, asked a group of 30 women who eat a plate of pasta with sauce very slowly, while then would be asked to do it quickly. The results were surprising. Before each meal the women consumed 400-calorie breakfast, and after that spent four hours without eating anything.

When the women ate the dish more calmly ate 579 calories in 29 minutes. When did fast consumed about 646 calories in 9 minutes.

These results were presented at the annual meeting of American Association for the Study of Obesity.

was determined that women who consumed more slowly did not show signs of hunger longer and were more satisfied. This allowed the body weight and to help maintain a stable weight.
